One of the market leaders (those who have been to Bulgaria probably remember its previous name - Globul) is Telenor. The rest of the members big three" - VivaCom and M-Tel.
The coverage area of all three is approximately the same, the quality is at the European level. Very often, towers are located in mountainous areas to ensure unhindered signal propagation. For example, on the mountains near Golden Sands, a favorite tourist resort, the signal is excellent.
Traditionally, tourists most actively use cards from Telenor and VivaCom due to comfortable connection prices. However, it is worth noting that today the prices for servicing Bulgarian operators have become significantly higher, gradually increasing after 2014, when the collapse of the ruble led to a rise in the price of the euro.
There is only one difference in terms of availability of purchasing SIM cards in Bulgaria and Russia: there are much fewer communication shops here. Therefore, the issue can be resolved right at the airport (have your passport ready). Branded kiosks of all three operators are present, at least, in the arrivals area in Burgas.
Each of cellular companies countries have their own offer for arriving guests, each with its own nuances. But the cost is very reasonable in any case.
For comparison, roaming services Russian operators will cost you from 30 to 50 rubles. per minute of conversation. Accordingly, if you plan to be in touch quite often, the best choice would be to purchase a local SIM card with a prepaid package of minutes.
To call landline phone, you need to know the city prefix and use international code Bulgaria - 359. Calls to mobile phones in roaming are not modified, but if the call is made to the SIM card of local operators, the country code is added at the beginning of the dialed number.
Dialing to a cell phone is carried out according to the standard scheme, but instead of the usual number eight, we dial +359 and then the subscriber’s number.
You must first go to the intercity line, then to the international line, and then dial the Bulgarian city code to which the call will be made:
For convenience, we present several codes of Bulgarian cities, in the hotels of which the majority of Russian tourists live:
The mechanism is completely similar, only the prefixes change: 7, then the Russian code, then 00 for access to foreign communications.
